SMBH Spin–Mass Compilation

Github repository

A continuously updated compilation of supermassive black-hole mass and spin measurements derived from X-ray reflection spectroscopy.

This compilation was developed in association with the Sisk-Reynes et al., 2026, Galaxies, 14, 3, id.50.

Tools for analyzing Chandra X-ray observations of Lensed Quasars

Python, bash, and CIAO_embedded scripts for analyzing Chandra X-ray observations of strongly lensed quasars to conduct milliarcsecond X-ray-to-optical astrometry.

This repository is currently in progress and includes:

  • Chandra data extraction scripts,
  • Chandra ray-tracing modules for generating realistic simulated Chandra observations at the same positions as the optical lensed images,
  • Tools for source-plane X-ray contour reconstruction around the source-plane optical emission region for an array of putative solutions with pre-computed maximum likelihood values,
  • Demonstration notebooks showcasing the application of the above tools to highly-magnified lensed quasars with publicly accessible X-ray and optical datasets.

These tools form the backbone of my current research program on sub-kpc AGN structure and emission-region offsets.
